Appointments may be scheduled for in-person or telehealth in order to meet your needs. Shift work, long commutes, and life's demands often makes scheduling appointments difficult. We understand this, take this into consideration as part of our scheduling process. being able to choose a telehealth or in-person visit provides the flexibility required so your personal, family or sleep schedule isn't disrupted.
During your initial appointment, your provider will do a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes a thorough review of both your personal and family medical and psychiatric history. We will offer treatment recommendations, education, and spend the time you need to answer questions and ensure that your questions are addressed. We are here to help you decide on treatment course you that are comfortable with. Options may include prescription medications, peptide therapies, supplements or natural and integrative treatments, genetic testing, lab work (to detect any underlying medical conditions), and nutritional assessments.
Your first appointment is longer than recurring sessions in order to provide deeper insight into your reasons for reaching out. This is critical in developing a personalized assessment of how to best help you. These visits take 60-90 minutes, as we don't believe in rushing you through appointments. We want to ensure that your needs are addressed and that you feel listened to.
Follow-up appointments are the opportunity to monitor your progress, provide ongoing mental health education, supportive therapy, and continued medication management.
