Non-Invasive, Non-Medication Pain Management

Magnetic Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (mPNS)

If you’re struggling with chronic pain that hasn’t responded to medications or traditional therapies, mPNS offers a safe, non-invasive solution. This advanced therapy uses gentle magnetic pulses to target peripheral nerves and muscles, helping to reduce pain signals at their source. mPNS is designed to improve function, decrease discomfort, and enhance quality of life—all without the side effects of drugs or the risks of invasive procedures. At Rethink Mental Health, we provide personalized mPNS treatment plans tailored to your specific pain condition, helping you regain control and comfort in your daily life.

What is mPNS?

Magnetic Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (mPNS) is a non-invasive therapy that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. By gently activating these nerves, mPNS helps improve nerve function, reduce pain signals, and promote healing in the affected areas. It is commonly used to treat post-traumatic pain, post-surgical pain, neuropathic pain, and other chronic pain conditions. Because it does not involve surgery or medications, mPNS is a safe option for patients seeking effective pain relief while minimizing reliance on opioids or other drugs.

Magnetic Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (mPNS) can be used to treat a wide range of painful conditions:

Neuropathic pain – This is nerve-related pain often caused by injuries, diabetes, or peripheral neuropathy. Patients may experience burning, tingling, or shooting pain that is difficult to manage with traditional medications. mPNS helps calm overactive nerve signals, reducing discomfort and improving quality of life.
Musculoskeletal pain – Chronic pain in the back, neck, shoulders, or joints can interfere with daily activities and mobility. By stimulating the nerves that communicate with muscles and soft tissue, mPNS can ease stiffness, reduce pain, and support better movement.
Post-surgical pain – Some patients experience lingering pain after surgery that does not fully resolve with healing. mPNS provides a non-invasive way to reduce this discomfort, promote nerve recovery, and lessen dependence on pain medications.

How many treatments will I need?

In one clinical study, patients reported an 87% decrease in pain levels, making mPNS a powerful option for managing chronic and difficult-to-treat pain. Many participants noticed a meaningful improvement after just their first treatment session, with continued progress over the course of therapy. These results highlight the potential of mPNS not only to reduce pain but also to improve daily functioning, mobility, and overall quality of life. Because it is non-invasive and medication-free, patients can experience relief without the common side effects or risks associated with pain medications or surgery.
